Continuing Activity
Work continues on the following elements:
- Ten food and retail vendor locations in the terminal building and in the rest of the project.
- Entrance from Alaskan and Yesler ways (instead of staging at Pier 48) after removal of temporary lane on Alaskan Way.
- New Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge over Alaskan Way.
- Completion of street, sidewalk, and utility work in front of the entry building. When complete, a passenger pick-up and drop-off area and taxi parking will open.
Construction details
- New entry building along Alaskan Way and elevated pedestrian connector leading to passenger building opened on August 3rd.
- Colman Dock will remain open throughout construction.

Anticipated activities
- Major activities summer and fall 2023 include:
- Completion of Alaskan Way S between S Main St and Yesler Way, including removal of the temporary ferry access lane from Pier 48 to Colman Dock following completion of Colman Dock project
- Beginning construction of connection between existing Alaskan Way north of Pine St, Elliott Way and the new Alaskan Way south of Pine St.

- Work will be on Alaskan Way between S Main St and Yesler Way and between Pike and Pine streets.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained to all businesses and residences.
- Driveway access to all buildings will be maintained.

Anticipated activities

Anticipated activities
- Constructing a new, wider bridge to better connect the large volume of travelers who commute via ferry from Colman Dock to downtown.
- Work will occur on Marion St between Western Ave and Alaskan Way.
Construction details
- A temporary Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge is open until the permanent bridge is ready to open to the public, anticipated in fall 2023.
- Removal of the temporary bridge will be removed following the opening of the new bridge and is anticipated to wrap up by the end of 2023.
- Occasional nighttime closures of Marion St between Alaskan Way and Western Ave.
- Lane reductions on Alaskan Way during impactful work.
- Occasional weekend, overnight and early work.
- Sidewalk closures on east side of Alaskan Way between Columbia and Marion streets and on the south side of Marion St between Alaskan Way and Western Ave.

Anticipated activities
- The expansion includes a new building, the Ocean Pavilion; a west-end renovation of Pier 59; a renovation and expansion of Pier 60; and seamless connections to a greatly improved public waterfront.
Construction details
- The improvements started in 2020 and are anticipated to be complete by 2024.
- Regular work hours Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM.
- Alaskan Way between Pike and Pine streets is closed daily during work hours info the fall.
- Outside of work hours, there will be a single lane northbound between Pike and Pine streets located in the vicinity of the existing S-curves.
- There will be special accommodations when cruise ships are loading/unloading at Pier 66, follow posted signs.
- Pedestrian access maintained at all times on the west side of Alaskan Way

- Overlook Walk, located between the Seattle Aquarium and Pike Place Market, is a key connection between the waterfront and downtown and will become a focal point for the new waterfront.

- Construction began in summer of 2022 and is anticipated to be completed in early 2025.
- Work areas are between Alaskan Way at Pike St and Elliott Way near Pine St.
- Typical work hours are 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, with work starting at 6 AM when needed and communicated to neighbors in advance.
- Pedestrian access below Overlook Walk will be maintained on the west side.

Anticipated activities
- Pike Pine Streetscape and Bicycle Improvements (a part of the Downtown Seattle Association’s Pike Pine Renaissance program) will provide a vibrant pedestrian experience on Pike and Pine streets between Capitol Hill and the Pike Place Market, with connections to the new waterfront.
Construction details
- Construction began in early 2023 and is anticipated to be complete in late 2024.
- Work areas are on Pike and Pine streets, from 1st Ave to Bellevue Ave.
- Access to all properties on both Pike and Pine streets, including businesses and residences, will be maintained during construction work. Detour signage will direct pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers when necessary.
- Work hours typically Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM.
- Weekend work is planned at intersections; details to be communicated in advance through the weekly construction emails.
